Good news! Marine Layer, our 2024 Bay Area Yarn Crawl color, is now available on individual skeins.

This color was the focus of a 2024 knit-a-long.

This colorway is available on three yarn bases:

Nibble - 100% California Fine Wool, 200 yards / 50g - If you are a Verb connoisseur, you may be thinking, "Nibble, what is that?" It's new! We've been keeping this ultra special yarn in our pocket for just the right moment! It is a fingering weight yarn, made of wool grown in Santa Barbara, where the sheep's sole purpose is to help with wildfire suppression. 

Frond (50g / 459 yards), a radiant beam of halo and glow, due to its content of 72% kid mohair and 28% silk. This is wonderful held along with another yarn or knit into a beautiful cloud on its own.

Floating - 70% Alpaca 20% Silk 10% Cashmere - Our softest yarn, with 437 yards / 100g, you can use it to create a single skein scarf or shawl. Or combine it with a skein of Frond, to create an even larger piece, such as by Romi Hill!

These colors all pair wonderfully with Marine Layer and we are using them in our KAL projects. Both Indigo Blue Sky and Bay Sailor are hand dyed in our indigo vats.
